About Paula
Paula Wright is the Founder, Director and Rhythm Facilitator for Beat for Life. She is a passionate and creative drummer who is dedicated to helping others discover their dynamic creative potential and to serving her community. She believes rhythm is innate in everyone – and that drumming is not only a natural and joyful experience, but also a powerful tool for transformation. Paula is a trained HealthRhythms® facilitator. She has trained with internationally renowned percussionist and drum circle facilitator, Arthur Hull, and trains regularly with drumming master, Frank Thompson, Founder, AZ Rhythm Connection. She holds a B.S. in Organizational Sociology and Masters of Public Administration from Grand Canyon University. She's held professional leadership positions serving diverse communities in the human services field for over 20 years.
Paula is a proud member of the AZ Rhythm Connection Drum Facilitation Team, a professional member of the Drum Circle Facilitators Guild, the Percussive Arts Society, and the Global Network of Expressive Arts Facilitators. She currently serves on the AZ Governor's Commission for Service and Volunteerism.
Besides drumming, Paula’s passions are music, dancing, traveling, hiking, and Christ-centered yoga.
